«St.Petersburg summer – 2018»

- Time and venue
The festival is held from August 14 (arrival day) till August 27 (departure day) 2018 (Memorial V. Korchnoi 14.08-24.08.2018; Russian Children's Cup tournament 14.08 - 24.08.2018; Russian Rapid Grand-Prix stage 24.08-27.08.2018), at Park Hotel Krestovskiy (Severnaya doroga 12).
The application forms are accepted till 13.08.2018.

1.1.3. The tournament is held from August 15 to 23 August, the registration is open on August 14 from 16:00 till 20:00 and August 15 from 11:00 till 13:45.
1.1.4. More detailed information will be available in tournament's regulations.
1.1.5. In case of equal number of points the tie-breaks are: Buchholz, cut Buchholz, number of wins, result of a personal match.
1.1.6. Time control: 90 minutes and 30 seconds increment per move from move 1. Players who are late for the game for 30 minutes get loss by default. No draw offer can be made before move 41.
1.1.7. There is a 20% discount for entry fee for the following players with ELO:
- women;
- players born before 31.12.1958;
- players born after 01.01.2002;
- international masters.
1.2. Tournaments B – Children's Cup Russia.
1.2.1. According to tournament's regulations there are 8 tournaments (boys and girls under 9, 11, 13, 15 y.o.). The entry fee is 2000 RUR.
1.2.2. The tournaments are held from August 15 to 23 August, the registration is open on August 14 from 14:00 till 21:00.
1.2.2. Attention! The number of players is limited. The participation is guarateed only when the entry fee is paid. If you are not from Russia, please contact us.
1.2.3. The pairings for round 1 is supposed to be ready by 10:30 on August 15, all the participants must be present at their boards at 11:00 for round 1. The additional pairings will be made after the start of the round for the players without an opponent.
1.2.4. The tournaments are 9 round Swiss, time control is 60 minutes + 30 seconds per move for tournaments under 9, for others (under 11, 13, 15 y.o.) 90 minutes + 30 second per move.
1.2.5. The tournaments are FIDE rated.
1.2.6. More information will be available in the tournament regulations.
1.3. Tournament C – Russian Rapid Grand Prix
1.3.1. The tournament is open, entry fee is 1500 RUR, for players born in 1958 or earlier, 2004 and later, and for female players - 1000 RUR.

In case of equal number of points the tie-breaks are: Buchholz, cut Buchholz, number of wins, result of a personal match.
The prizes are not shared in case of equal number of points. One player can get one main prize and one special prize, with the exception of pries for players from St. Petersburg (in this case bigger prize is awarded).
Prizes «under 19» are meant for players born in 2000 or later, «seniors» - male players born in 1958 or earlier and female players born in 1963 or earlier.
1.3.3. The tournament is 11 rounds Swiss, time control is 15 minutes +10 seconds per move.
1.3.4. The rounds start on August 25 at 15:00, 16:20, 17:30, 18:40, 19:50, on August 26 – 10:30, 11:40, 12:50, 14:30, 15:40, 16:50. The closing ceremony is on August 26 at 18:30. If a player doesn't get his/her prize at the closing ceremony, the prize is reduced to 50%.
1.3.5. The registration is open on August 24 from 12:00 till 20:00, on August 25 from 10:00 till 14:45. The players registered later by decision on Organizer can be included in additional pairing or get "0" in the 1st round.
1.3.6. The tournament is FIDE rated.
1.4. Tournament D – problem solving contest
1.4.1. The tournament is open, entry fee is 300 RUR.
1.4.2. The guaranteed prize fund is 6000 RUR

1.4.3. The tournament is held on August 24 from 10:00, the registration is open from 09:30 till 09:55.
1.5. Tournament E – Chess960
1.5.1. The tournament is open, the entry fee is 700 RUR.
1.5.2. The guaranteed prize fund is 20000 RUR
1. 7000 2. 5000 3. 3000 4. 2000, women: 1. 2000 2. 1000 (in case of at least 5 women playing).
1.5.3. The tournament is held on August 24 from 12:00, the registration is from 11:00 till 11:55. The tournament is 7 or 9 rounds Swiss (depends on the number of players), the time control is 10 minutes + 3 seconds per move.
1.6.4. In case of equal number of points the tie-breaks are: Buchholz, median Buchholz, Berger.
1.6. Tournament F – blitz
1.6.1. The tournament is open, entry fee is 500 RUR.
1.6.2. The guaranteed prize fund is 60000 RUR.

1.6.3. The tournament is held on August 24 from 18:00, the registration is on August 24 from 17:00 till 17:50. The tournament is 11 rounds Swiss, time control is 3 minutes +2 seconds per move.
1.6.4. In case of equal number of points the tie-breaks are: Buchholz, median Buchholz, Berger.
1.6.5. The tournament is FIDE rated.
1.7. Simultaneous exhibition and lecture by GM (Tournament G)
1.7.1. The simul is open for players with ELO less than 2100, the entry fee is 500 RUR (200 RUR for B tournaments' participants). The number of players is limited, please sign up in advance. The lecture for participants of simul is free, for others — 100 RUR.
1.7.2. The event starts at 11:00 on August 25.
