«St.Petersburg summer – 2015»

- Time and venue
The festival is held from August 22 (arrival day) till August 31 (departure day) 2015 (Russian Rapid Grand-Prix stage 29.08-30.08.2015, Russian Children's Cup tournament 22.08 - 29.08.2015) at Park Hotel Krestovskiy (Severnaya doroga 12).
The application forms are accepted till 20.08.2015.

Attention! Players non representing Russia willing to play tournaments A, B, G or J who don't have FIDE ID number, have to register via their national chess federation and get the ID number before the tournament.
1.1. Турнир А – быстрые шахматы
1.1.1. The tournament is open, entry fee is 1500 RUR, for players born in 1955 or earlier, 2001 and later, and for female players - 1000 RUR.

In case of equal number of points the tie-breaks are: Buchholz, median Buchholz, Berger.
The prizes are not shared in case of equal number points. One player can get only one prize, the exception are main prizes and women priezes which are cumulative.
Prizes «under 19» are meant for players born in 1997 or later, «under 15» - born in 2001 or later, «seniors» - male players born in 1955 or earlier and female players born in 1960 or earlier.
1.1.3. The tournament is 11 rounds Swiss, time control is 15 minutes +10 seconds per move.
1.1.4. The rounds start on August 29 at 16:00, 17:20, 18:30, 19:40, 20:50, on August 30 – 10:30, 11:40, 12:50, 14:30, 15:40, 16:50. The closing ceremony is on August 30 at 18:30. If a player doesn't get his/her prize at the closing ceremony, the prize is reduced to 50%.
1.1.5. The registration is open on August 29 from 12:00 till 20:00, on August 30 from 10:00 till 15:45. The players registered later by desision on Organizer can be included in additional pairing or get "0" in the 1st round.
1.1.6. The tournament is FIDE rated.
1.2. Tournaments B – Children's Cup Russia.
1.2.1. According to tournament's regulations there are 8 tournaments (boys and girls under 9, 11, 13, 15 y.o.). The entry fee is 1000 RUR (if a player registers and pays the entry fee on August 23 the fee is doubled).
1.2.2. Attention! The number of players is limited. The participation is guarateed only when the entry fee is paid. If you are not from Russia, please contact us.
1.2.3. The pairings for round 1 is supposed to be ready by 9:30 on August 23, all the participants must be present at their boards at 10:00 for round 1. The additional pairings will be made after the start of the round for the players without an opponent.
1.2.4. The tournaments are 9 round Swiss, time control is 90 minutes + 30 seconds per move.
1.2.5. The tournaments are FIDE rated.
1.2.6. More information will be available in the tournament regulations.
1.3. Tournament С – problem solving contest
1.3.1. The tournament is open, entry fee is 300 RUR
1.3.2. The guaranteed prize fund is 6000 RUR

1.3.3. The tournament is held on August 22 from 11:00, the registration is open from 10:30 till 10:55.
1.4. Tournament D – Bughouse (teams)
1.4.1. Any teams consisting of 2 people can participate, the entry fee is 500 RUR
1.4.2. The prize fund is not less than 100% of entry fees received by organizers.
1.4.3. The tournament is held on August 22 from 11:00, the registration is open from 10:00 till 10:50. The system of play and number of rounds depend on number of teams playing. Time control is 3 minutes.
1.5. Tournament E – blitz for children and family teams
1.5.1. The tournament is open for children born in 2001 or later and their relatives - parents or grandparents (not more than 1 per each child). The entry fee is 300 RUR for a child or 500 RUR for a team.
1.5.2. The winners among boys and girls in 2 age groups (under 15 - born in 2001 or later, under 11 - born in 2005 or later), and the best teams get prizes.
1.5.3. The tournament is held on August 22 from 16:00, the registration is open from 15:00 till 15:50. The tournament is 9 rounds Swiss, time control is 3 minutes + 2 seconds per move. The players from the same team can't play each other.
1.5.4. In case of equal number of points the tie-breaks are: Buchholz, median Buchholz, Berger. A team result is the sum of the players' points, in case of a tie - the higher final rank of the child decides.
1.6. Tournament F – Bughouse (individual)
1.6.1. The tournament is open, the entry fee is 500 RUR
1.6.2. The prize fund is not less than 100% of entry fees received by organizers.
1.6.3. The tournament is held on August 22 from 19:00, the registration is open from 18:30 till 18:50. The system of play and number of rounds depend on number of teams playing. The time control is 3 minutes.
1.7. Tournament G – Seniors rapid
1.7.1. The tournament is open for players born in 1955 and earlier (female players born in 1960 or earlier). The entry fee is 200 RUR.
1.7.2. The guaranteed prize fund is – 25000 RUR

1.7.3. The tournament is held on August 24 from 16:00, the registration is open from 15:00 till 15:55. The tournament is 7 rounds Swiss, the time control is 10 minutes + 5 seconds per move.
1.7.4. In case of equal number of points the tie-breaks are: Buchholz, median Buchholz, Berger.
1.7.5. The tournament is FIDE rated.
1.8. Tournament H – Blitz Marathon
1.8.1. The tournament is open, entry fee – 1500 RUR
1.8.2. The prize fund is – 40000 RUR (guaranteed in case of at least 30 participants).

1.8.3. There also are 2 special prizes from organizers, each player who finishes the tournament gets 500 RUR back.
1.8.4. The tournament begins on August 25 at 21:00, the registration is open from 20:00 till 20:55. The system will be determined according to number of players participating, the tournament ends at 9:00 on August 26 (the number of rounds unplayed doesn't matter).
The time control is 3 minutes + 2 seconds per move, the expected number of rounds is 50.
1.9. Tournament I – Chess960
1.9.1. The tournament is open, the entry fee is 700 RUR.
1.9.2. The guaranteed prize fund is 20000 RUR
1. 7000 2. 5000 3. 3000 4. 2000, women: 1. 2000 2. 1000 (in case of at least 5 women playing).
1.9.3. The tournament is held on August 26 from 18:00, the registration is from 17:00 till 17:55. The tournament is 7 or 9 rounds Swiss (depends on the number of players), the time control is 10 minutes + 3 seconds per move.
1.9.4. In case of equal number of points the tie-breaks are: Buchholz, median Buchholz, Berger.
1.10. Tournament J – Blitz
1.10.1. The tournament is open, entry fee is 500 RUR.
1.10.2. The guaranteed prize fund is 60000 RUR.

1.10.3. The tournament is held on August 28 from 18:00, the registration is on August 28 from 17:00 till 17:50. The tournament is 11 rounds Swiss, time control is 3 minutes +2 seconds per move.
1.10.4. In case of equal number of points the tie-breaks are: Buchholz, median Buchholz, progressive score.
1.10.5. The tournament is FIDE rated.
1.11. Simultaneous exhibition and lecture by GM (tournament K)
1.11.1. The simul is open for players with ELO less than 2300, the entry fee is 500 RUR (200 RUR for B tournaments' participants). The number of players is limited, please sign up in advance. The lecture is open and fee of charge.
1.11.2. The event starts at 11:00 on August 29 (at first the simul, then the lecture), the information on who the GMs are will be released later.
1.12. Tournament L – Blitz (teams 1+1)
1.12.1. The tournament is for teams of 1 men and 1 woman of any age. The entry fee is 1000 RUR.
1.12.2. The prize fund is not less than 100% of entry fees received by organizers.
1.12.3. The tournament is held on August 30 from 19:00, the registration is from 18:30 till 18:55. The time control is 3 minutes + 2 seconds per move.The system of play and number of rounds depend on number of teams playing.
