«St.Petersburg summer – 2014»

- Time and venue
The festival is held from August 21 (arrival day) till September 01 (departure day) 2014 (Russian Rapid Grand-Prix stage 29.08-01.09.2014) at Park Hotel Krestovskiy (Severnaya doroga 12).
The application forms are accepted till 20.08.2014.

Attention! Players non representing Russia who don't have FIDE ID number, have to register via their national chess federation and get the ID number before the tournament.
1.1. Tournament A – rapid chess
1.1.1. The tournament is open, entry fee is 1000 RUR, for players born in 1954 or earlier, 1996 and later, and for female players - 800 RUR.

In case of equal number of points the tie-breaks are: Buchholz, median Buchholz, progressive score.
The prizes are not shared in case of equal number points. One player can get only one prize, the exception are main prizes and women priezes which are cumulative.
Prizes «under 19» are meant for players born in 1996 or later, «under 15» - born in 2000 or later, «seniors» - male players born in 1954 or earlier and female players born in 1959 or earlier.
1.1.3. The tournament is 11 rounds Swiss, time control is 15 minutes +10 seconds per move.
1.1.4. The rounds start on August 30 at 16:00, 17:20, 18:30, 19:40, on August 31 – 11:00, 12:10, 13:20, 14:30, 15:40, 17:40, 18:50. The closing ceremony is on August 31 at 20:30. Участники всех турниров фестиваля, не получившие призов до окончания закрытия турнира А, в дальнейшем смогут получить только 50% приза.
1.1.5. The registration is open on August 29 from 12:00 till 20:00, on August 30 from 10:00 till 15:45. The players registered later by desision on Organizer can be included in additional pairing or get "0" in the 1st round.
1.1.6. The tournament is FIDE rated.
1.2. Tournament B – amateurs.
1.2.1. The tournament is open for players with classic ELO FIDE not more than 2350 on 01.08.2014, with no IM or GM title.
1.2.2. Prize fund – 350000 RUR.

При равенстве очков основные призы делятся по системе Горта, призы менее 500 руб. не выплачиваются, дополнительные призы не делятся. Участник может получить только один приз, исключение – участница, выигравшая приз в категории «женщины» и основной приз – в этом случае вручаются оба приза.
На призы в категорияи «юноши» могут претендовать шахматисты 1998 г.р. и моложе, «ветераны» - мужчины 1954 г.р. и старше и женщины 1959 г.р. и старше.
1.2.3. Entry fee:
- players without ELO: 2500 RUR
- players born in 1998 and later, in 1954 and older (women born in 1959 гand earlierарше), имеющие ЭЛО – 1500 руб.
- otherplayers – 2000 RUR
1.2.4. The tournament isis 7 rounds Swiss, time control is 90 minutes + 30 seconds per move.
1.2.5. The schedule: round 1 – August 22 at 17:30, round 2 – August 23 at 11:00, round 3 – August 23 at 17:30, round 4 – August 24 at 11:00, round 5– August 24 at 17:30, round 6 – August 25 at 17:30, round 7 – August 26 at 16:00.
1.2.6. The player who is late for the round for 30 minutes is forfeited.
1.2.7. The registration is open on August 22 from 12:00 till 17:15. The players registered later by desision on Organizer can be included in additional pairing or get "0" in the 1st round.
1.2.8. The tournament is FIDE rated.
1.3. Tournaments С – blitz for children
1.3.1. The tournament is open for players born in 2000 and younger, entry fee – 200 RUR.
1.3.2. The winners among boys and girls in 2 age categories (under 15 - b-year 2000 and younger, under 11 - b-year 2004 and younger) get the prizes.
1.3.3. The tournament is held on August 25 from 12:00, the registration is open on the same day from 11:00 till 11:50. The tournament is 9 rounds Swiss, the time control is 3 minutes + 2 seconds per move.

1.4. Tournament D1 – children "under 11"
1.4.1. В турнире могут принять участие мальчики и девочки 2004 г.р. рождения и моложе, имеющим разряд при регистрации необходимо предъявить квалификационную книжку или официальную заявку от своего клуба. В некоторых случаях разряд участника может быть подтвержден мандатной комиссией. Турнирный взнос: 1000р.
1.4.2. Предусмотрены подарки для всех участников, ценные призы для победителей среди мальчиков и девочек.
1.4.3. Турнир проводится по швейцарской системе, 8 туров, по 2 тура в день с 26 по 29 августа 2014 г. Начало 1, 3, 5, 7 туров в 11:00, 2, 4, 6, 8 – в 13:15. Регистрация участников 26 августа с 10:00 до 10:45, закрытие турнира через 20 минут после окончания последней партии турниров D1 и D2. Контроль времени – 60 минут на партию каждому участнику.

1.6. Tournament E – Seniors rapid tournament
1.6.1. The tournament is open for players born in 1954 and earlier (female players born in 1959 or earlier). The entry fee is 200 RUR.
1.6.2. The guaranteed prize fund is – 25000 RUR

1.6.3. The tournament is held on August 27 from 16:00, the registration is open on the same day from 15:00 till 15:55. The tournament is 7 rounds Swiss, time control is 10 minutes + 5 seconds per move.
In case of equal number of points the tie-breaks are: Buchholz, median Buchholz, progressive score.
1.7. Tournament F – blitz-marathon
1.7.1. The tournament is open, entry fee – 500 RUR
1.7.2. The guaranteed prize fund is – 30000 RUR
1. 10000 2. 7000 3. 5000 4. 4000 5. 2000 Women: 1. 2000.
There will be 2 special prizes from the organizers.
1.7.3. The tournament begins on August 27 at 20:00, the registration is on the same day from 19:00 till 19:55. The system will be determined according to number of players participating, the tournament ends at 8:00 on August 28 (the number of rounds unplayed doen't matter).
The time control is 3 minutes + 2 seconds per move, the expected number of rounds is 50.
1.8. Tournament G – blitz
1.8.1. The tournament is open, entry fee is 500 RUR.
1.8.2. The guaranteed prize fund – 60000 RUR

1.8.3. The tournament is held on August 28 from 18:30, the registration is on August 28 from 17:30 till 18:20. The tournament is 11 rounds Swiss, time control is 3 minutes +2 seconds per move.
In case of equal number of points the tie-breaks are: Buchholz, median Buchholz, progressive score.
1.8.4. Результаты турнира направляются в ФИДЕ для обсчета рейтинга.
1.9. Tournament H – Chess 960
1.9.1. Турнир открыт для всех желающих, турнирный взнос – 500 руб.
1.9.2. Гарантированный призовой фонд – 20000 руб.

1.9.3. Турнир проводится 29 августа 2014г. с 16:00, регистрация участников 29 августа с 15:30 до 15:55. Турнир проводится по швейцарской системе в 7 или 9 туров (в зависимости от числа участников), контроль времени 10 минут + 3 секунды на ход каждому участнику.

1.10. Tournament I – problem solving competition
1.10.1. Турнир открыт для всех желающих, взнос – 200 руб.
1.10.2. Гарантированный призовой фонд – 6000 руб.

1.10.3. Турнир проводится 29 августа с 18:00, регистрация участников с 17:30 до 17:55.
1.11. Tournament J – blitz (teams)
1.11.1. Блицтурнир для команд, состоящих из одного мужчины и одной женщины (любого возраста). Турнирный взнос: 500р. с команды.
1.11.2. Призовой фонд – 80% собранных турнирных взносов, но не менее 6000 руб., для участников по возможности будет организован фуршет.
1.11.3. Турнир проводится 29 августа 2013 г. с 18:30, регистрация с 18:00 до 18:25. Контроль времени – 3 минуты + 2 секунды на ход каждому участнику. Количество туров и система проведения определяется перед началом турнира в зависимости от количества команд.
1.12. Tournament K – bughouse (teams)
1.12.1. Турнир для команд из двух человек, турнирный взнос – 500 руб.
1.12.2. Гарантированный призовой фонд – 15000 руб.

1.12.3. Турнир проводится 30 августа 2013 г. с 11:00, регистрация участников 30 августа с 10:00 до 10:50. Система проведения и количество туров определяется в зависимости от количества участников, контроль времени – 3 минуты на партию.
1.13. Simultaneous exhibition and lecture by GM
1.13.1. В сеансе могут принять участие шахматисты, международный рейтинг которых не превышает 2300, взнос – 300 руб., для участников турниров D1 и D2 – 100 руб. Число мест ограничено, пожалуйста, подавайте предварительные заявки. Лекция открыта для всех желающих.
1.13.2. Начало мероприятия в 11:00 30 августа, более подробная информация появится позднее.
