«St.Petersburg summer – 2013»
1. Schedule and venue
The festival is held from August (arrival day) till September 02 (departure day) 2013 (Rapid chess tournament – 30.08-02.09.2013) at the "Park" hotel located at 12 Severnaya doroga, Krestovsky island, St.Petersburg, Russia.

2.1. Tournament A – Rapid tournament
2.1.1. The tournament is open for all players, entry fee – 1000 RUR., for players born in 1953 or earlier, in 1995 or later, for female players - 800 RUR..
2.1.2. Prize fund – 550000 RUR.

The prizes are not shared in case of equal number points. One player can get no more than one main prize and one special prize.
Prizes «under 19» are meant for players born in 1995 or later, «under 15» - born in 1999 or later, «seniors» - male players born in 1953 or earlier and female players born in 1958 or earlier.
2.1.3. The system is 11 rounds Swiss, time control 15 mins +10 seconds.
2.1.4. The rounds start on August, 31 at 16:00, 17:20, 18:30, 19:40, on September, 1 – 11:00, 12:10, 13:20, 14:30, 15:40, 17:40, 18:50. The closing ceremony - Sptember, 1 at 20:30. If the prize is not recieved at the closing ceremony, there's a penaltry of 50%.
2.1.5. The registration is open on August, 30 from 12:00 till 20:00, August, 31 from 10:00 till 15:45. The players who register later by decision of Organizing Committee can be included in additional pairing, or get zero bye in round 1.
2.1.6. The chief arbiter of tournament A is IA Viacheslav Ivanov.
2.2. Tournament B1 – children under 10
2.2.1. The tournament is open for boys and girls born in 2003 or later. Entry fee - 500 RUR.
2.2.2. There will be gifts for all participants and valuable prizes for the winners (boys and girls separately).
2.2.3. The tournament is held as 8 round Swiss, two rounds a day from August 27 to 30. Rounds 1, 3, 5, 7 start at 11:00, 2, 4, 6, 8 – at 13:15. Registration is on August 27 from 10:00 till 10:45, the closing ceremony will be after 20 minutes after the end of the last game of tournaments B1 and B2. Time control - 61 mins per game for each player.
In case of equal number of points the tie-breaks are: Buchholz, median Buchholz, progress.
2.3. Tournament B2 – children under 14
2.3.1. The tournament is open for boys and girls born in 1999 or later. Entry fee - 500 RUR.
2.3.2. There will be gifts for all participants and valuable prizes for the winners (boys and girls separately).
2.3.3. The tournament is held as 8 round Swiss, two rounds a day from August 27 to 30. Rounds 1, 3, 5, 7 start at 11:00, 2, 4, 6, 8 – at 13:15. 2.4. Tournaments С – «Couple of the month»
2.4.1. Blitz tournament for teams consisting of one man and one woman (of any age). Entry fee: 500 RUR/team.
2.4.2. Prize fund – 80% of all entry fees, buffet for the participants.
2.4.3. The tournament is held on August 27 from 18:30, registration from 18:00 till 18:25. Time control – 3 minutes + 2 seconds per move. The number of rounds and the system are defined before the start of the tournament in dependance of number of teams.
2.5. Tournament D – blitz
2.5.1. Open for everybody, entry fee 500 RUR
2.5.2. Guaranteed prize fund – 60000 RUR

2.5.3. The tournament is held on August 28 from 18:30, registration from 17:30 till 18:20. 13 rounds Swiss, time control 3 minutes + 2 seconds per move.

2.6. Tournament E – Seniors rapid
2.6.1. The tournament is open for male players born in 1953 and earlier, female players born in 1958 and earlier. Entry fee - 200 RUR.
2.6.2. Guaranteed prize fund – 30000 RUR.

2.7. Tournament F – blitz-marathon
2.7.1. The tournament is open for everybody, entry fee 500 RUR.
2.7.2. Guaranteed prize fund – 30000 RUR

2.7.3. The tournament starts at 20:00 on August 29, registration from 19:30 till 19:55. The system depends on number of players, the tournament is to end about 8:00 on August 30. Time control is 3 mins + 2 secs, approsimate number of rounds - 50.
2.8. Tournament G – chess960
2.8.1. The tournament is open for everybody, entry fee – 500 RUR
2.8.2. Guaranteed prize fund – 20000 RUR

2.8.3. The tournament is held on August 30 from 16:00, registration from 15:30 till 15:55. 7 or 9 rounds Swiss (depends on number of players), time control 10 minutes + 3 seconds.

2.9. Tournament H – children blitz
2.9.1. The tournament is open for players born in 1999or later, entry fee 200 RUR
2.9.2. The winners among boys and girls in 2 age categories (under 14 – born in 1999 or later, under 10 – born in 2003 or later) get valuable prizes.
2.9.3. The tournament is held on August 30 from 16:30, registration from 15:30 till 16:20. 9 rounds Swiss, time control 3 minutes +2 seconds per move.
In case of equal number of points the tie-breaks are: Buchholz, median Buchholz, progress.
2.10. Tournament I – bughouse (teams)
2.10.1. Tournaments for teams of 2 persons each, entry fee – 500 RUR/team
2.10.2. Гарантированный призовой фонд – 10000 руб.

2.11.2. Guaranteed prize fund 15000 RUR

2.11.3. The tournament is held on August 31 from 11:00, registration from 10:30 till 10:50. Italian system, the number of rounds depends on number of players. Time control - 3 minutes per game.
2.12. Tournament K – solving puzzle competition
2.12.1. Open for everybody, entry fee 200RUR
2.12.2. Prize fund guaranteed – 6000 RUR

2.13. The lecture and simultaneous exhibition by GM
2.13.1. The simultaneous games are open for players with elo no more than 2300, entry fee – 300 RUR, for tournament В1 or В2 participants – 100 RUR. The number of places is limited, please apply beforehand. The lecture is free and open for everyone.
2.13.2. The event begins at 11:00 on august 31, more detailed information will be available later.
3.Accommodation
3.1. Organizers offer accommodation at "Park" hotel (http://otelpark.ru/) at the following prices (per person per night, breakfast included, check-in after 14:00, check-out before 12:00):
3.1.1. Single standard – 2350 RUR
3.1.2. Twin/double standard – 1450 RUR
3.1.3. Single comfort – 2900 RUR
3.1.4. Twin/double comfort – 1700 RUR
